It was that time of year again to fill the car up with your ski buddies and drive up to Montreal, Quebec for the International Freeski Film Festival.

IF3 packing up for the screening of the first film.

After a long 2 hour drive, it was nice to come to start off the festival with the screening of Sunny by Level 1 Productions. Every year I look forward to the films they put out as they continue to push our sport to new levels, from backcountry to park shoots to winches pulling you into enormously death defying features. Definitely one to be checking out this year!

Playing some kube to get the night started.

Saturday consisted of No Matter What by Meathead Films which showed some incredible trickery from Dom Laporte. Following that film was The Eighty Six by Stept Productions, this had some of the biggest and creative features in any of the movies. They really worked hard to earn “The Best Jib Flick” award, congrats!

To finish the weekend off, we woke up to a severe hangover from the infamous Rocker Party, washed that down with a few extra spicy caesars and headed over to the screening of Deja Vu by Brotherhood Films. So much local talent coming up from the Quebec area, be sure to check out this movie, and do not miss Marc Dandurand’s unbelievably kinky segment.
