The International Freeski Film Festival went down this past weekend in Montreal, Quebec. Every year this event attracts and promotes the growing ski community and showcases some of the best professional and amateur films from the season. A few of the DU members and a whole lot of the ski community including pros came out to show support for friends, riders and idols. The Retro party started off the weekend with a bang the first night!

Many of us woke up early Saturday morning recovering from the night and washing that hangover away with water and free North Face grilled cheeses. Cinema Imperial packed up and a whole lot of movies were played over a four day span, with too many to name, some of the highlighted movies were Level 1 Productions – Partly Cloudy, Brotherhood Films – Our Own Way, TwoBees Media – Clair De Lune and Poor Boyz Productions – Tracing Skylines. A shout out goes to our friends at Brotherhood Films for winning the “Best Up-and-Coming Quebec Production” and to our homie Max Morello for making a debut in the Detroit segment of Tracing Skylines. Get your hands on these films, you don’t want to miss out!

Ending off the weekend with the infamous rocker party on the Saturday night was how majority of the people topped off the best weekend of the year!

With a new name comes a new rider. DU Lifestyle is pleased to welcome another talented individual to the family, Seb Eaves.

Getting to know Seb better this year was an honour for us at DU, his positive attitude and unbelievable talent has made Seb one of the top skiers to come out of the East Coast to this date. A few of you may recognize his name from being the previous winner of the 2012 Capitalize at the Clocktower and many other podiums across the coast. Over a few drinks in Mont Tremblant, we discussed Sebs interest in our company which led to a no brainer decision to welcome him to our talented family.
This year is Sebs busiest season to date and we are thrilled to be helping him out. Currently, Seb has been hard on the grind filming for Brotherhood Films to bust out a full segment in their new movie and also putting together an edit for a chance to win this years Coors Light Video Challenge with filmer Mike Dandurand. We would like to congratulate Seb on his success over the years and are honoured to help him continue his dreams.
