Hi to all of our awesome DU Supporters. You may have noticed that we haven’t been as active for quite some time now.

We want to send out a huge thank you to everyone by kicking off a sale right in time for the holiday season. Our left over stock at duapparel.com will be available for sale from $9.99-11.99. (Prices are already marked down, no code required). The sale with start now until the end of April 2018.

It definitely was not an easy decision to make but we did want to let everyone know that over the next couple of months, we will slowly be shutting down dulifestyle.com.

DU started as an idea and brought individuals together from a variety of different scenes including; action sports, music, art and fashion. From that idea, it developed into a household brand around Ottawa, shipping apparel from coast to coast in Canada, parts of the USA, Europe and we made even made our way down to Australia. We will remember the countless Canada Day parties, nights that turned into mornings, podiums, photoshoots, concerts, events and the one idea of being the crew from Manotick, Ontario.

During the transition, we will be giving shout outs to those whom have a helped out tremendously in evolving DU throughout the years. Without these creative and talented minds, DU wouldn’t be what it is today.

We wouldn’t be here without our supporters! We can’t thank you all enough.

We’re not saying good-bye for good, we’ll see you again in the future. Simply, see you later.

Ottawa, Ontario Canada pop-punk mainstays We Were Sharks have joined the ever-growing roster of Panic State Records (The Flatliners, Rebuilder, With The Punches, etc). On Dec 11, 2015 We Were Sharks will be releasing their new 7 song EP titled Not A Chance digitally and on CD. Their new EP is a follow-up to their self-released debut LP Highways.

Here’s the premiere of We Were Sharks’ new music video for their new track “Without You” (watch it below).

Not A Chance is a departure from their earlier releases where the band found themselves writing faster and more mature songs while staying true to their pop-punk sound. They have released a video for their new single “Without You” which was directed by Ray Lavers and Chady Awad and shot around the city of Montreal.

The band comments on the new song:

“The song, lyrically, is about the aftermath of a break up. When you’re down and out but finally open your eyes to the bigger picture and begin to work on yourself. Although most people find it hard to believe at first there’s a good chance that you’re better off without the other person. The video concept is a pretty simple one. It just shows the day we spent filming the video. We drove into Montreal really early, crashed for a bit and then went and shot the video. We hung around, drank beers, crashed a bachelor party and then drank on the directors rooftop til the sun came up the next morning.”

I threw a short video of our trip to Mt Hood, Oregon with our intended song.  We ended up going with something more upbeat, but I felt the need to have this footage edited to this specific song as we planned.
